Dani Beauchamp
Dani is the very proud co-owner of Second Story Pilates. A natural mover and shaker, she was first introduced to Pilates while earning her BFA in Dance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. In 2003, she was certified by the internationally recognized Pilates Center of Boulder under the direct tutelage of second-generation instructors Rachel Segel and Amy Alpers. Most recently she was certified in GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® and has found that though different from Pilates, THE GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® offers yet another avenue for exploring the bodies' intricacies. An intuitive problem solver and attentive listener, Dani strives to empower her clients to embrace ease of movement and find confidence in their bodies. She takes pride in teaching to her clients' potential and not to their limitations. Her lessons stress the importance of proper alignment, form, and breath. When not at the studio, Dani is either collaborating as a principle artist with Avant Media Performance or spending time with her amazing husband Drew.

Karen Watkins
Karen is a co-owner of the studio. She began her personal relationship with Pilates in 2004 and is certified through the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA). She also is certified as a Post Rehabilitative Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist. This Pilates based program is great for anyone undergoing treatment for breast cancer. As a breast cancer/double mastectomy patient herself, Karen is uniquely qualified to help individuals facing or following treatment for breast cancer. Karen believes that flexibility, strength and muscular endurance are key components of healthy aging and that Pilates is a wonderful way to stay feeling young. Karen's clients believe that she is a caring and supportive teacher. When she is not at the studio, she loves to spend time with her husband Lee, her children and grandchildren and her friends. Her favorite pastimes (besides Pilates) are hiking, and snow skiing.

Theresa Brown
Theresa received her certification in classical Pilates in 2001 from Performing Arts and Physical Therapy (PAPT). While studying and teaching Oriental dance she became very interested in the Pilates method. Jumping right into the PAPT program, she discovered ways to teach others how to connect their body and mind through concentration, control, and breathing, while increasing strength, flexibility, and much, much more. Theresa has come to realize that Pilates is the way to heal the body from the inside out and is proud to have made a career out of helping others achieve physical health. She sees the Pilates method as a physical science and is sure in her assertion that Joseph Pilates clearly was a genius. Thanks Joe!!!
